Trout Unlimited Fishing Derby – sold out!

On July 27-31, 2017 Nootka Marine Adventures will be hosting the 1st Annual Fishing Derby at Newton Cove Resort in support of Trout Unlimited Canada. 

Located on the world-renowed West Coast of Vancouver Island, a place of rare beauty, abundant wildlife and spectacular fishing! Fish for chinook and coho salmon, halibut, lingcod and rock fish while competing with 40 other TUC supporters. 

We are excited to announce that this derby is now sold out and all net proceeds will be donated to Trout Unlimited Canada.

Event Information

On July 27-31, 2017 Nootka Marine Adventures will be holding its 1st annual Trout Unlimited Fishing Derby in the waters of Nootka Sound and Esperanza Inlet.

For Participants

The registration fee is $100 per contestant and participants are encouraged to pre-register with our customer service agents in advance of arrival. Newton Cove Resort will serve as headquarters for the derby where the fish weigh-in and prize ceremonies will take place. 

Prizes & Sponsors

Our sponsors have the option to support our derby through donations of cash, merchandise or a combination of both. Compete for cash and high value products, from a variety of sponsors, to be featured on our prize table.

Our Purpose

To actively promote and participate in salmon enhancement and habitat restoration in the Nootka Sound and Esperanza Inlet watersheds as well as to foster and develop interest in sportfishing.
