BC Sport Fishing Licenses

All anglers must have a licence to fish the tidal or fresh waters in British Columbia, and must carry their license at all times when on the water. We ask our guests to purchase their licences before arrival to our resorts in order to avoid any possible delays.

Important Notice

All guests intending to fish saltwater must purchase a Tidal Waters Sport Fishing licence through the federal government. Guests who intend to catch and keep any species of salmon must add a Salmon Conservation Stamp to their licence.

All guests intending to fish freshwater must purchase a Freshwater Fishing Licence through the provincial government. Guests who intend to catch and keep Steelhead and non-tidal Salmon must add Conservation Surcharge stamps to their licence.

Boating Licence

All operators of powered watercraft used for recreational purposes within Canada require a Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) or Nautical Certification, regardless of age.

A PCOC may be obtained online at Boater Exam Canada.

Your Tidal Waters Sport Fishing licence may be purchased through the Government of Canada website, or through vendors who sell licenses.
