Fish Processing

Nootka Marine Adventures proudly operates two provincially licensed fish processing facilities, located at Moutcha Bay Resort and Newton Cove Resort. We carefully fillet your fish with rib bones and fins removed before being portioned to your request. Each piece is vacuum packed using high quality plastic, properly labeled and flash frozen. We will package your fish for transport, including documentation. Provided you gently handle your fish in your freezer and maintain proper temperature, you can expect excellent product for a long time after your trip. Our government approved fish processing facilities are open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm daily.

Services Include

PRICING

Moutcha Bay Resort:

  • By-the-pound rate based on dressed weight (head & tail on, guts & gills removed). Available at Moutcha Bay only
  • Salmon $1.75/pound
  • Bottom fish $1.50/pound
  • $0.50/ pound added to portions smaller than 1 pound
  • All-inclusive processing $200/person, covers the entire duration of your stay and includes airline approved packaging.
  • Refrigeration & walk-in freezer available (whole fish only)
  • $25/tote for the duration of your stay
  • Once full, an additional tote will be required

Nootka Sound Resort:

  • $200/person for the duration of your stay
  • Non-guided guests are responsible for delivering and picking up their own fish at Moutcha Bay Resort
  • Complimentary walk-in freezer

Newton Cove Resort:

  • All-inclusive processing $250/person, covers the entire duration of your stay  and includes airline approved packaging
  • By-the- pound rate is only available at Moutcha Bay Resort
  • Both processing facilities are St. Jean’s Cannery depots
  • Professional fish smoking, lox, and canning available
