Green Marine Certification

Nootka Marine Adventures is committed to sustainable operations. We are very proud to announce that we have enrolled in Green Marine in July 2021 and we look forward to a rigorous and transparent certification process. This is a voluntary, premier certification program that Nootka Marine Adventures has been working towards for many months.

Green Marine-certified facilities must demonstrate a real commitment to sustainability and improving beyond regulatory requirements. Participants are required to adopt practices and technologies that will have a direct impact on the ground. Measurable performance indictors include environmental leadership, community impacts, greenhouse gas emissions, water, air and land pollutants, spill prevention, recycling, underwater noise, and waste management. Participants must benchmark their annual performance, have their results verified by an accredited external verifier and also agree to publication of their results in an annual Green Marine report.

We are pleased to announce that all three of our resorts are now enrolled in the program. We look forward to continuously reducing our environmental footprint with the support of Green Marine!
