Moutcha Bay Resort has everything you need for a memorable outdoor adventure, including a full-service 70-slip marina and dock shack with fuel, bait, tackle, and refreshments, as well as a licensed restaurant, children’s playground, and gift shop. With easy road access only 2 hours from Campbell River on the North Island along the scenic ‘Tree to Sea’ highway, Moutcha Bay Resort is nestled in the wilderness of Nootka Sound on Vancouver Island’s west coast. Picturesque views of Nootka Sound and stunning west coast sunsets await. Take a boat ride through Nootka Sound for an opportunity to see whales, otters, seals, and other marine life. Don’t miss out on visiting the historic village of Yuquot on Nootka Island, the site of first contact between BC First Nations and European explorers and traders.

We offer plenty of family-friendly outdoor adventures. A fleet of fully equipped rental boats are available for your half or full-day fishing excursion. Or, book a fully guided fishing charter with a member of our Pro Guide Team for an adventure you’ll never forget. Tour Moutcha Bay on a rental kayak or stand-up paddleboard or take a leisurely trip in a pedal boat. Visit the local Upana Caves for a self-guided caving tour. Nearby are freshwater lakes for swimming or fishing, and plenty of scenic hiking trails.

If you choose a guided fishing charter, our knowledgeable and friendly guides will make your salmon, halibut, and tuna fishing dreams come true! No fishing experience is necessary – we look after everything, including your artisan on-board lunches. If you are bringing your own boat we offer a full-service marina or rent from our fleet of fully equipped rental boats!
